While the gentle, almost lulling feel of For a Sunday Morning is almost as appropriate for falling asleep as waking up, the album is pleasant at any time of day and for almost any occasion. Peer Gynt Suite for orchestra (or piano or piano, 4 hands) No. 1, Op.

Blues for a Sunday Morning. A diverse and eclectic collection of the mellower side of the blues, Blues for a Sunday Morning features everything from Allen Toussaint's New Orleans-influenced "You Don't Know Me" to Mem Shannon' s smooth funk on "Certain Shade of Blue. Possibly taking a cue from the successful 32 Jazz series of mood-themed jazz records, Shanachie has pulled together a relaxed compilation that is easy to listen to, but unfortunately also easily forgettable.

Sunday Morning" is a song by the Velvet Underground. It is the opening track on their 1967 debut album The Velvet Underground & Nico. It was also released as a single in 1966 with "Femme Fatale". In late 1966, "Sunday Morning" was the final song to be recorded for The Velvet Underground & Nico. It was requested by Tom Wilson, who thought the album needed another song with lead vocals by Nico with the potential to be a successful single.

Britten: Sunday Morning By The Beach. 12. Williams: Seventeen Come Sunday From English Folk Song Suite. Strauss: Morning Newspapers. Performer: Various Artists. This truly is a great album for a Sunday morning. I bought it after a recent morning I spent with my boyfriend; we made tea, ate breakfast, cuddled and napped, but I wanted some relaxing classical tunes to put on. I stumbled across this, and it certainly fits the bill. I also liked that it had a good mix of familiar songs and ones I hadn't heard before.

Sunday Morning is the opening song to The Velvet Underground’s debut album, The Velvet Underground & Nico. The song describes the feeling of staying up all Saturday night into Sunday morning. Aptly, Reed & Cale wrote the song after one of those nights at 6 AM on a Sunday morning. As Cale remembered in a 2006 interview with Uncut: Lou and I had been up all night on crank, as usual, so we decided to visit one of his old Syracuse college pals. The most polished song on the album, Sunday Morning was released as a single in December 1966. MGM/Verve spent little, if any effort to promote it and it sunk, unnoticed, on release. However, it grew in popularity through radio play by DJs like John Peel and Dick Summer, sowing the seeds for the Velvets' cult following. Sunday Morning" Track Info.
