This particular LP was already more than half completed with Adderley taking his last solos on three of the selections. The group he had utilized was quite unusual with Cannonball and cornetist Nat Adderley joined by Alvin Batiste (on electric clarinet, flute and tenor), keyboardist George Duke, bassist Alphonso Johnson, drummer Jack DeJohnette and percussionist Airto. Batiste and Nat have individual features but unfortunately none of the music is all that memorable; Hermeto Pascoal's "Nascente" comes the closest.
