Numerous subsequent hard rock bands have nicked a thing or two from this Beck era, and after hearing such great tracks as "You Shook Me," "Shapes of Things," "I Ain't Superstitious," "Spanish Boots," and "Jailhouse Rock," you'll understand why. Hindsight is always 20/20, but it's too bad that the original Jeff Beck Group didn't stick it out just a little longer. They sure had the sound, the look, and the tunes, as exemplified on The Best Of. Track Listing.

It’s very difficult to say what the best album by Jeff Beck is and I will say there isn’t a single one I don’t enjoy. Blow By Blow and Wired seemed like a leap forward artistically when they were released. Truth has those great vocals by Rod Stewart, not to mention Superstition. It’s hard to choose one of his albums because he had several albums that could be considered to be the best of his collection. I would narrow it down to the first two albums he did as the Jeff Beck Group: Truth in 1968 and Beck-Ola in 1969. For starters he had a tremendous band: Jeff Beck (guitars) Rod Stewart (vocals) Ronnie Wood (bass) Nicky Hopkins (keyboards) and Micky Waller (drums) who was later replaced by Tony Newman. The first song on side one was a remake of the old Yardbirds song Shapes of Things. He did an excellent instrumental called Beck’s Bolero written by Jimmy Page.

Jeff Beck is known as one of the best blues rock guitarists of all time. Jeff Beck’s discography is ranked from best to worst, so the top Jeff Beck albums can be found at the top of the list. If you want to know the Best Jeff Beck album of all time, this list will answer your questions. Beck's classics like Blow by Blow (1975) and Wired (1976) are revered by many, but you might be more of a fan of his latter-era experiments with electronic sounds, such as the 2010’s Emotion & Commotion album.

From: 'Jeff Beck Group' (1972). Beck recorded his fourth album in Memphis with producer Steve Cropper, the great session guitarist who played on so many of the terrific R&B singles that came out on Stax Records in the '60s. The LP, 'Jeff Beck Group,' is one of Beck's most soulful, and this instrumental cover of a song penned by Ashford & Simpson is a sweet highlight. From: 'Blow by Blow' (1975). Freeway Jam' is one of Beck's most popular songs, and for good reason: The solo he fires off is one of his very best. The song was written by Max Middleton, the keyboardist Beck worked with in the Jeff Beck Group as well as on his first two solo albums, 'Blow by Blow' and 'Wired. It's a grand instrumental showcase for the LP's core quartet.
